In observance of Veterans Day, the American Legion Post 229 in Madison would like to invite our friends and neighbors to join us in placing flags on the graves of Veterans buried in Madison's City Cemeteries on Saturday, November 2nd, at 9:00 AM.
The three cemeteries are located at:
- The north and south sides of Mill Road behind the Fire Station
- Hughes road beside the Municipal complex
- Madison Blvd west of Publix
As a continuation of this remembrance, we will also be replacing the flags with wreaths on December 7th, at 9:00 AM. These wreaths will stay on the grave sites until January 4th, 2014.
If you have opportunity to join us on any three of these days, please notify us by October 31st, or meet us on the morning of the 2nd at the Madison Community Cemetery on the north side of Mill Road.
We look forward to seeing you there.
