New Business
  • Motion to rename the "Memorial Day Committee" to "Americanism Committee" and task it with the duties outlined in Article VI § 2 of the Post By Laws:
    "The Americanism Committee shall be charged with the inspiration of patriotism and good citizenship by arrangements for proper observance of patriotic occasions; encouragement of patriotic and civic phases of instruction in schools; Americanization of aliens; combating anti-American propaganda by education of the general public in American ideals through public forums, etc., and activities for community and civic betterment."

    In accordance with Article XII, notice is given that the following motion is being submitted for consideration at the Febraury meeting:
    "Motion to strike Sections §5 Economic Committee, §7  Foreign Relations, and §10 Legislative Committee, from Article VI of the Post By Laws, and renumber the remaining sections accordingly, and to remove references to those Committees from Article VI, Section1."
